Yesterday, I figured that because it was Thursday, not too many people would be out and about. Yes, it was Christmas break, but it was Thursday. I had the harebrained idea to take Mike out to see a film. So, we went to Crocker Park and it was an absolute mad house. I have seen Crocker Park be overcrowded before and this was way beyond that. It was crazy! I was depressed for trying to see a movie. Then Mike valiantly called that movie phone thing so that you can find other movie times. Well, we decided to go out to Elyria’s Cobblestone theater. It is usually not too crowded. EVEN IT WAS MORE CROWDED THAN ANY TIME I HAD BEEN THERE. There is a Cracker Barrel close by and neither of us had really eaten a proper supper, therefore we thought it would be nice to go there. Unfortunately, the line was out the door. We were tired of all the let-downs and didn’t want to risk another crowded restaurant. We traversed many moons to a Giant Eagle. Low and behold it was practically deserted! Needless to say we hung out there. Okay that was a lil stretch but we did get a pizza. Then, I remembered that my dad was fasting in preparation for a colonoscopy (spelling?). I was afraid the smell of baking pizza would drive him insane. Thus, I called the house and got dad’s blessings to bake the pizza. Because of all the heartache of the night, Mike and I went crazy and bought a stuffed crust pizza. It was marvelous! Mike and I watched about half an hour of Animaniacs and then he went home. Some date huh? The plus side was that Mike got an ipod for Christmas. Actually he wanted a cd player for his car but his mother thought that this way he would have all of his music with him without putting his cd’s at risk of being stolen from the car again. I thought this very wise. So, amidst all this driving around, we listened to our favorite songs and sang at the top of our lungs.
Alas, for me, the night was ended with discovering that Sassy, in her old lady like incompetence, had left me a lil something on my fitted sheet. If it was on the comforter I could have just removed the comforter and gotten an extra blanket. Yet, the gift being on the fitted sheet meant that I would have to completely remake my bed. ARGH! What a night!
