My past couple of weeks have been rather boring and uneventful. This past Thursday my fellow Toledo students and myself all boarded a bus and headed to Toledo, the actual college, for a career fair. Of course I am the only girl on the bus. I thought that there was a girl in the upperclasses but I was mistaken. Zach Hudoc is in the program though. It was funny to see him. He is considered a sophomore because he started the program his first year so he didn’t consort with me much. I am technically a freshman but a sophomore in credits. Weird huh? Anywho…freshman from Toledo aren’t allowed to go to this fair but because we go to LCCC we get some special privileges, so my little group of 15 boys and I were by far the youngest people at the fair. We didn’t have resumes and weren’t looking for co-ops so we were kinda looked over and ignored. It was scary being surrounded by a bunch of men in search of a career. I only saw a handful of girls in my position. I was lonely. But, I made it through in one piece. In fact I actually bonded with some boys in my class that I hadn’t really had a chance to talk to before the trip.
Now the anniversary part. Yesterday marked Mike’s and my 3rd year anniversary. WOW! I mean that’s longer than some people have been married! I kinda screwed up our day by going to work but Mike picked me up and carted me off to Famous Dave’s for dinner. We know that its not terribly romantic but we had both had long days and we were contemplating going out again today. Our theory is that if it’s 3 years we get 2 days to celebrate, 4 then 3 days, 5 then 4, and so on. I think that is reasonable.
Mike is in the process of getting a security gig at the Southpark Macy’s. It looks like he is going to get it but keep him in your prayers. This would be a great step to policedom.

So my father went to some pastors gathering in Milwaukee and he ran into a lot of people from his class at the seminary. Well, they all got to talking and they remembered this old mystery that happened while they were at school. One winter when the pond had frozen completely over some kids drove the janitorial van out into the middle of the ice. To this day, no one knew who drove the van. Lo and behold, one man spoke up at this convention and said quietly, “I did.” A twenty year old mystery had been solved! Isn’t that a great story!?

Man…I know I haven’t updated in a while but that is only because nothing much has happened. School is going fine. Mike is good. He was in a softball tournament this past weekend and his team came in 7th I think (it was out of 8 teams so they didn’t do too good albeit they did better than last year). It’s a rainy day. But I like rainy days. Perhaps I’ll go curl up with a blanket and the latest Popular Science.
