So I had to go to school a little early yesterday because I had a meeting with my new CSE counselor. On my way to her office I ran into JAKE!!! I haven’t seen him since last semester in Sociology. We discussed how hard Calculus is. He is in a specialized calculus so that you can kinda skip Calc 2. BUT his course is actually harder! So I felt bad for him and I felt his pain. Sadly, the conversation was cut short because I had to get to my appointment.
My school schedule for next semester looks amazing!! I am out by 1 on MTWR and have only one class on Friday that is out by 12! Unfortunately, this doesn’t give me a very good work schedule because it is pointless to get downtown by 2 and leave at like 6. My paycheck wont cover the gas and parking fees just for working a couple of hours. So I think that I will get to work from home and occasionally go in on Saturdays. That’s not too bad but I don’t really want to sacrifice my Saturdays. What I would LOVE to do is pretty much quit Oswald(my company) and work at BARNES & NOBLES or BORDERS for a semester. I don’t know why but i really want to work in a book store.

This past friday Mike and I went on a date and saw Take the Lead. It was a lot like Sister Act 2 where “delinquent” children learn respect for themselves and others through song. Well, this was dancing rather than singing. It is your generic feel good movie where the underdogs come out on top. But, Antonio Banderas was fantabulous as usual and it was a pretty fun movie. I enjoyed it and recommend it to all who read this.
My new favorite movie is Howl’s Moving Castle! Christian Bale is the lead male voice and sounds all tough and manly. I definitely wish for all to see this movie because the story is certainly not like any ever before seen. It is from Studio Ghibli and is therefore somewhat classified as japanimation or anime. The music is wonderful and the scenery is gorgeous. I love it!
On Saturday, Emma, Dione, the Rohn family, Al, and myself dyed Easter eggs! I think that Dynamite Doug’s watermelon eggs were the best. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed seeing my old friends. I miss them so much and the two hours I spent there were certainly not enough. I can’t wait until summer when they will all be home and we can hang out more often.

I haven’t updated in a coon’s age so here is a brief review.
1) My English class is being taught by a Religion teacher and thus has turned into a religion class. She actually is making my English skills digress because she is so weird.
2) Calc is hard and is eating up my time. I feel there is a ton of work with very little results. But, I still really enjoy math which is good because I still have about 6 more math classes to take.
3) I am kicking butt in history and my teacher is relying heavily upon the impact of religion in world events. It is interesting but then he tends to bash current religions.
4) Mike is doing well but his semester hasn’t been the best. He is in the process of getting a new job which will pay for a much needed new car. Plus it will assist in realizing his dream of becoming a cop. Pray that all goes well for him.
5) I have been accepted into University of Toledo’s Computer Science and Engineering program. I have a good chance at receiving a full scholarship but won’t know until May. This has been the highlight of this semester.
6) I’m depressed because I have completely missed lent and next week is holy week. I take night classes on Monday and Wednesday so I have been missing Wednesday night devotions. As a result, lent has flown by.
I guess that is a fairly good update BUT it just scratches the surface. I could probably write a complete separate LJ for each of them. At least, now you know more about what has been going on.
As for delaying the inevitable…I have to start a research paper today and I’m not in the mood. When I think of research papers I think of a min of 10 sources and at least 12 pages. Mine only has to be 1,200 words and 4 sources. It’s dumb. My thesis is that Planned Parenthood should have parental consent or notification of their minor’s participation. Meaning right now, girls under 18 can just walk into a clinic and get free birth control without their parents ever having to know. I think that that is very sad. Let me know if you guys have any ideas on the subject that I can put into the paper. The paper must also include a slightly religious bent. Not the entire thing. Just part of it. Obviously, one could just use the 10 commandments. 4. Honor father and mother 6. Don’t commit adultery 8. Do not lie (bear false witness)Man, just talking about this makes me depressed. Perhaps if it goes well I will post it on here for y’all to read.
