Sorry, I know that I haven’t updated in a long time but nothing exciting has happened…until now! I had a marvelous dinner date with Dione, Erica, and Emma! We went to Max’s Deli and I haven’t been there in a coon’s age so I was totally excited. It was sooooo fun catching up on everyone. And I must say that I was most impressed with Dione’s rise to power in her Quiddich Club. I’m so extremely jealous of U of E for having a club. LCCC doesn’t have one and I want to be in one. Perhaps I should transfer to Evansville.(thoughtful pause)
Anywho…after we all ordered fabulous desserts we retired to Emma’s abode for the remainder of the evening. But, I of course have never been on I-480 for I haven’t driven to the Rohn’s since I have conquered highway driving. It was rather thrilling!
Oh, another adventure occurred on our way to Emma’s, she was leading me through the metroparks because I never have need to drive down there. I was rather cautious because its kinda scary at night when you don’t know all the curves. I saw her brake a little way ahead of me and I assumed she was carreening around another corner. But NO! When I got there there were 3 or 4 teenage punk raccoons there in the street. I slammed on my brakes and fishtailed a little. No animal was hurt in the retelling of this story. I was a little shaken but Erica, the poor dear who was riding with me, said, “I am so proud of you. I was not worried one bit. Even when you were braking, I knew that you were in control and I felt safe.” Well of course after that bracing remark I felt rather daring. All was well. I didn’t hit a raccoon and they ran off to terrorize another unsuspecting motorist.
Moral: BEWARE!

My dearest, you are so precious! I laughed so hard when reading your account of those mischievous racoons! And I really like how you didn’t even mention the football game … but it wasn’t that exciting, besides that fact that I was there (heehee). And I am assuming that since you are writing this and seem to be perfectly fine that you made it back to your house safely Saturday night. I am so proud of my little highway-driving Piper!
Piper darling, my favorite part of your update was the use of and age old fave phrase “coon’s age”. Which, by the way, I haven’t heard you say in a coons age. I also liked the telling of the coon story! ha ha. I am so flattered that you are impressed by my rise in the ranks of Quidditch Club….HHMMM they ARE electing a new president next semester………*hopeful glazed over look up into my imaginary bubble*…
